Question to all Amiga owners

Those usual suspect are them those, who say that they have some other hobby OS, wich don't seems to interest them actually, because they write only OS4 threads Those people who haven't loved when they were kids, because they like to spoil other people joy, now when they are adults? Those people who like to hinting that Amiga hardware buyers are stupid, or at least duped? They of course know better than actual owners, how powerless and poor aCube/A-Eon computers are? And want to tell that 100x untill you admit that you are stupid and duped??? So you mean those people? They are quieter now?

Am i the only one waiting for an X1000?   or have others giving up waiting..

I know that we should be thankful for choice, but Amiga Technologies managed to get the Amiga back out to high street dealers..  

There does seem to be a lack of getting this machine out to buyers..

the A1X1000 appears to only be available as the 'first contact' configuration. prospective customers have to sign up with amigakit and register their interest. the systems were made in batches, but at this point, i believe they are sold out.

as klx300r suggested the best thing to do is talk to amigakit directly.

i had to wait a few months before being notified that i was 'next' on the list and able to order a system -- but by that point i had already spent the money on something else. :cry:

the good news is that A-EON and its partners are already working on a new system, and of course, acube systems offers its SAM440 and SAM460-based products, including the amigaone 500. as utri007 mentioned, for a variety of reasons, a lot of OS4 users are no longer active here, something i'm working on reversing. in the mean time sites like amigaworld.net and amigans.net might be your best bet on getting feedback from SAM owners to see if those boards would suffice for what you're looking for in next-generation amiga hardware.

Been a LOOOOONG TIME...   well over a year.

i was curious how long bbond007 had been on the list, but yeah, i was on it for months, too. this hasn't been a brilliant method of ordering an X1000. i know why they're doing it, but as a customer, it's a bit frustrating.

the only thing i can tell you is that out of the blue a few months back, i got an email saying i could place my order. 'course it was too late for me by then. if i were you, and i was really set on an X1000 and not one of the SAM machines, i'd email them, phone them, open a ticket on their site, whatever was necessary to find out where i was on the list.

having used the X1000 several times at amiwest shows past, it's an unbelievably good machine. it's definitely worth the wait in my opinion. good luck!

When I read you had been waiting a year, it made be wonder why you are afraid of being criticised. lol
I don't have a problem with people who want an x1000. But I suggest you will be waiting a long time for software to be ported as well.

A-Eon said they were hoping there was still an Amiga market available. They may decide to only sell the sam460 because not enough people want the x1000.

incredibly the opposite is true. there is far more demand for X1000 systems than amigakit can handle. every batch gets quickly sold out. the reason X1000 production is stopping is because their supplier for the PA6T processor has doubled their price on a per-part basis, and it's just no longer financially feasible. several hundred have been sold, according to trevor's talk at amiwest last year. it's a great machine. expensive, but a great machine.

the SAM systems are manufactured and developed by acube, not A-EON by the way.
