@thread

i've only had good experiences with amibay. the nice thing about it is that you're getting your hardware from actual amigans rather than someone who found something they 'think' works in a garage when their grandparent died. that said, i was able to find my first SAM machine on ebay, and that went well enough.

the mods on amibay have always been very helpful in my experience.

@magnetic, et al

guys, this thread has gotten out of hand. i understand feelings can run high when someone is banned from a site or someone is attacking a site you enjoy, but everyone needs to cool it. please remember the following items from our posting guidelines:
   Blatant personal attacks are not permitted.
Criticize  ideas, not people. Excessive flaming will not be tolerated. Users who  verbally assault the character or person of other posters on a regular  basis will be banned. Name calling is best left to grade school.  Moderator's judgment applies here. "You are wrong" is not a personal  attack; "You are an idiot" is. "You do not have all of the facts" is not  a personal attack; "you are obviously clueless" is. These are  generalized examples, but you get the idea.

Posts of a libellous nature are not allowed.
Everyone  has a right to their own opinion, whether you think it right or wrong.  Posting false information about an individual is not only bad form, but  could become a serious problem, both for the poster, and for Amiga.org  itself.
further discussion which violates either of these guidelines will result in posts being edited and/or infractions given. thank you for your understanding.

@thread

i must not have been clear enough with my last warning. personal attacks, trolling, and libelous posts are absolutely prohibited. since folks couldn't follow the posting guidelines, this thread is now locked. posts which violated site posting guidelines after my previous warning have been deleted as well as responses to such posts. feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
