They are not sold on amigakit to buy it. Where would I buy it?
you'll have to wait for the full production run.  like me.  :(

the 'first contact' systems sold out in less than thirty-six hours, price notwithstanding.  there is quite a lot of demand for these machines, so keep your eyes peeled on amigakit's web site for announcements.  i'm not planning on missing out the second time.  ;)

Perhaps, but you stated it in a manner when replying to the guy that made it seem as if it was a universal truth and not just your experience.

As you can see, no problems using google docs here. Whilst it's not the snappiest experience I've ever had (chrome's v8 javascript engine spoils you), it's still perfectly usable.

in fairness to the poster who had difficulties with his SAM, i think i understand the issue.  if you use MUIOWB -- the port from MorphOS -- loading Gmail on my SAM is perfectly fine.  a little slow on the initial load (a good five seconds), but otherwise fine.  if you use joerg's OWB -- the reaction-based one -- it is unbearably slow.

of course using the 'standard HTML' front-end in either browser is fine as well. :)

nonetheless he's certainly correct that, back in 2009 or so, using Gmail on a SAM would have been a brutal experience if you used the full 'sunday roast' version.  of course on an X1000 i noticed zero performance issues at amiwest on steve solie's machine when logging on briefly to Gmail.  in fact the performance of the google apps in general was astounding in comparison with my SAM.

All I stated is that the browsers for OS 4.1 have issues with modern web demands.  I try and use such sites, the system locks up entirely 95% of the time.  I could give you a list the length of your arm of sites that simply do not work with the browsers available for OS 4.  Lovely systems to use for fun, but you simply are not going to use one for your daily driver system unless your internet/browsing demands are at the level of 3-4 years ago.  Was merely trying to illustrate the fact the problem with OS4 is software availability, and whether the machine be a SAM 440ep base model or a tricked out X1000, you're still in the same position when the SW choices simply are not modern.  I didn't buy the thing as a "main PC", so obviously I am not too jerked up that I can't use it for everything that I use my i7 Win 7 PC for, net wise.

X1000, SAM 460, or SAM 440, you're still running the same OS.  It's not a matter of the programs running slow - it's a matter of them not working at all in some cases with the browsers, or otherwise not running well enough on some websites to even use.  I'm well aware that I should not expect a 667 mhz machine to run as speedy as a X1000, but it's simply not a matter of clockspeed and HW resources.  I don't expect my Pentium 200 that is currently functioning as a doorstop to browse as fast as my 4.1 ghz daily driver, but it'll get the job done in a pinch, albeit slow since both are Windows PC's.

If I have missed a step in how these browsers perform optimally (or work on a wider variety of sites), or if they require additional packages to work properly, I've missed mention of them in any docs, and I assure you I've looked 1000 times, lol.  Fresh install of OS, fresh install of browser, same thing.

gotta disagree on the browser front, there. i use MUIOWB every day and i've yet to encounter a site it can't render correctly.  it's no i7, but the SAM works just fine for me.  where are you located physically? are there other amigans or a user group that can check things out for you? you shouldn't have this experience.
