I Released an EP!
« on: January 27, 2014, 12:01:50 PM »
Not strictly Amiga news - but I thought this might be of interest to those
of us who are like chiptune inspired music ...

Last year I started working on a "chiptune" inspired EP titled "Secret Level"

Last night I released it on Soundcloud as a free to download package.

https://soundcloud.com/polyp/sets/polyp-secret-level-ep

and if you want there is a free download including the artwork and
inlay notes.

You can download the package here!

http://www.polyprecords.co.uk/downloads/Polyp%20-%20Secret%20Level%20EP.zip

It includes a couple of remixes by "PERSONA1600" and "Kid Nineties"

plus a bonus track "No More Life"

Please check it out and I hope you enjoy it!

I'll give it a listen.

Id love to know what you think!

I've seen a lot of MorphOS / Amiga OS downloads in my apache logs so i guess its going down well!

Thanks for the support!

Octamed is what got me really started! (Although i did have some great times on the c64 with music maker+overlay and dabbled with Ubiks Music)!

Im a Renoise boy now - that is until Bitwig is released!

What music software are others using these days?

Nice work Polyp sounds real slick and pro as well as retro, btw Junk Orbit is now following you on soundcloud;)

Thanks - Im checking out your stuff now!

What software / equipment do you use? Is the Amiga still part of your set-up?

Im interested in hearing what kind of stuff other Amiga users are using?

I still have my A1200 which I've souped up with an accelerator , CF card and Indy MK2. I was planning on archiving a lot of my old tunes. Unfortunately many of the discs are corroded with blotches. So i was only able to rescue some of them :( . Id got some great samples too which are mostly lost in the sands of time. Back in the day i used to sample profound lines from radio 4 plays and incorporate them into my music. I remade one track (Now named "Doors of Perception). I dont know if anyone remembers me from back in the day - I used to post tracks on the Octamed forums. Its possible it would be familiar to some of you!

Thanks!

Nick
