As already stated, the C= boxes are Commodore brand modems. Since Commodore made 300 and 1200 baud modems, we can all jump for joy over the thought of buying them!!
The guy claims that he feels it was worth this much because there are 5000-6000 boxes of software and not everything is shown. He said if you sold each for $1 on eBay then you'd get 5000-6000. He's forgetting though that if you buy in huge quantity you are expecting to make a profit. Not to mention you'd get your money back very slowly. He's relisting for a lower price he said.
