Why are computers in general not appreciated?
« on: June 10, 2012, 01:27:57 AM »
This might be more specific to the UK not sure, but... I recently went on a visit to the national museum of computing at Bletchley Park and while I did have a good day out I was struck by how the entire museum was being run on a shoestring compared to other museums I had been to! Why are computers which have played such a massive part in our development over the last ~30 years not celebrated more do you think!? There are some seriously impressive museums in this country but none based on one of the most important inventions of man!

Just a bit of a rant to be honest I Wanted to get of my chest! They did have a nice Amiga 500+ in the museum although it was heavily outnumbered by beeb micros and Sinclair's!
