We live in Beaumont TX and they have called for a mandatory evacuation from Rita. I have a rent house we had let some New Orleans evacuees have while they get back on their feet. They left this morning and we will not be far behind. I never thought we would be in the same boat when we let them move in.
We will be leaving when my wife evacuates the hospital,I wll go to the nearest shelter to the hospital she is sent to. She works there as a nurse and we will leave together. My children and grandchildren are already leaving.
Please say a prayer for us. Hope there is something to come back to!
