I can understand why people might want to steal a copy of HalfLife, but AmigaOS 4.x pre-release?

Gimme a f**king break ;)

Given that Genesi are trying to promote a ppc solution, is it really wise to have a pop at OS4?

Given that Steffen Hausser recently said that OS4 would be ported to Pegasos "when hell freezes over", I see no reason whatsoever not to have a pop at OS4.

If it's never coming to Pegasos, what do I care about it? :)

Let me try and give you one.

In their present state both AmigaOne/OS4 and Pegasos/MorphOS are deeply niche solution. Both need to be adopted by new users to survive.

To the outside world both solutions look pretty identical. The problem is the same. How do you get x86 users to come over to ppc?

In this situation I would suggest that having a pop at any ppc solution is tantamount to cutting your own throat. Still, I suppose it's your throat to cut.

Again - I don't see the people who make PowerPC processors ordering AmigaOne boards or signing them off as official reference platforms for the processor.

Excellent, presumably that's IBM.

As a matter of interest how many Pegasos boards did they order, over a thousand?
