Re: Credibility

While appreciating any clear news from Amiga Inc, I fear this is another dip in credibility for a company that appears to be unappreciated anyway.

Like many others here I suspect, to me this is another announcement in the long line of "just wait a bit, it will be along soon" vein. I'll wait because my new Amiga will be installed alongside my existing PC. Whether it actually ever turns up is not a matter of life and death to me. If it does, that will be nice, if it doesn't it will be a shame but I'll carry on using my PC.

PS. I won't be buying a Pegasos, not because although it may well do all as advertised,  I can see no pressing reason to start out again with a new platform.

Why? Because AmigaOne is a new hardware compared to Classic Amigas and developpers will have to port/create their software using AmigaOS 4 APIs to have them AmigaOS 4 natives.
Of course there is the AmigaOS 3.x compatibility, but MorphOS has it also :)
So in both case, Pegasos/MorphOS or AmigaOne/AmigaOS 4, these are new platforms."

Yes I am aware of that, but I look at it in Apple terms. Apple went from 68K to PPC with all the implication that entailed, but  I don't think Apple users saw themselves as changing platform.  I 'm just a simpleton at heart
