In theory it should not make a difference but the A2000 CPU slot is buffered and may be able to supply a more reliable +5V to the accelerator. (But early rev. A2000 mobos may need some fixes to work with some accelerator boards).
Also, it's unlikely that most A500 accelerators were tested extensively with the A2000.
