I'm with all of you with SMBFS.

First issue that I had was SMBMounter sometimes trashes graphics and slows down the system.  So stopped using it.

Have tried 1.74, 1.85, and 1.102, and they all have issues with my NAS.  Generally 1,85 works the best with general usage of copying back and forth from it.  It does occasionally lockup the system.

I have played with 1.102 and increased the cache and use minstack, and it seems to work better with Amiback writing a backup file to the nas, but not for general usage.

The only other issue that is a pain, nothing to do with smbfs, is the file size limitations of the OS.  To bad there isn't a fix for this.

I use roadshow on a xsurf 100 with a PPC and Mediator 3000D.  My NAS is a QNAP.
