What version of the CS is it? Only the MK III will allow scsi in a 3000D/T. The MK I and II weren't well thought out in design and the scsi add on modules will not fit a 3000D or T.
The MK III has a 68 Pin Fast SCSI connection and the Warp Engine a 50 Pin SCSI 2.
So either way you will have to attach the HD to the Motherboard SCSI.
As far as testing I would download the Phase 5 libs install them and let it run for a day or two and run a decent hardware/performance program.
One last item to be careful of, if this is a MK III the cpu socket is fragile and can easily be broken.
Good luck!
Hi ya'll. So I have a cyberstorm 060 (not the PPC version), That I want to eventually sell, but I want to test it out first and make sure its all running good.
I have an Amiga 3000 with a warpengine in it (and of course the 68040.library). Running OS 3.9 with boing bags 1-3.
Is testing this card as simple as making sure I have a 68060.library installed and plugging it in and seeing if it works? I'm not sure if the SCSI controller on the cyberstorm is the same physical plug as my warpengine's. If its different it might not work booting from my HD.
Anyway, just looking for some advice on how to properly test this so I can sell it having been properly and honestly tested. Would hate to sell something that doesn't work.
Thanks!
