I wrote the book, ok only a setup guide:), on the correct driver version. I know for certain I have all the right stuff.

That's what I'm suspecting. I will try replacing the memory and see if that fixes it... I don't think the DSP or the Audio chip failed but this will tell.
Now the good luck in finding the memory...
Perhaps I should track down broken Delfinas...
