I have a Delfina Plus that is a real nice card.  Uses no CPU and is very zorro bus friendly.

I have played with different libraries (4.14, 4.16. 4.16B, 4.17B), Delfmem, and Delfinit.  I haven't found the magic combination to make it perfectly (or real close to it) stable yet.

I tried using AHI for playback as well as the delfmpeg.library for mp3.

Sometimes it plays for a real long time, even with the screen saver.  The screensaver does seem to bugger up playback sometimes.  Once in a while, it will just crash on playback without the screensaver.

I think I'm close, but was hoping to see what other delfina users are using for their settings and programs.  As well as best practices.

@Stachu
What do you use to play mp3's? (library versions, devices, etc).  Does it crash?  The plus is clocked at 73MHz from the factory.

@Midway
I think your onto something.  I installed AmigaAmp and using the mpega.library and by golly, this seem to run perfectly so far.  I will continue testing, but so far it is promising!!!

Mpega.library and amigaamp are perfect for play back.

Only issue is that it is a bit slow on my 060 and the plus.

@marmes

I'm not ready to throw in the towel yet.  I have a Melody Z2, I can switch to if need be.  I think there is a way to get this pretty close to perfect...

Solved!!!

Thanks especially to Midway, Damion, and Matt_H (Damion and Matt had older threads that helped.)

It runs perfectly stable even WITH the screen saver running.  I ran it for over 24 hours with a mix of mp2's and mp3's with BTD screen saver.

In the end, yes the Delfina was a bit of a pain to find the magic combo, but the card is simply awesome.  Little CPU load, friendly on the zorro bus, and excellent sound quality.

Here was my winning combination:
AmigaAmp (Amplifier tends to crash over time).  Latest 68K version from their website.
MHI
DelfinaMpeg Version: 1.6
Delfina.library Version 6.14 B3 Patch #2.
Delfinit NOPATCH Quiet - to init the card.
I used the same settings as Midway for Amigaamp 1s and 256k for playback settings.

Thanks again to all that helped!
Even though I use a Delfina Plus, I'm sure that this would work fine on a Lite also and maybe even the original Delfina zorro card.  Have no idea if the clockport version will work well with my setup.
