Whether or not the AOS4/AmigaOne combo will be able to handle a game like HL (or more importantly, HL2) is unknown to me. Can someone tell me if it can?

AFAIK HalfLife is based on the Quake2 engine, not? Which runs almost flawlessly on a 604e/Voodoo, not to mention the G3/G4 speeds.

HL mods don't need recompiling.... i think.

I dunno myself, but as Quake2 mods require recompiling... Anyone knowing about that?

It used to be the killer games were made on the Amiga and the dos/windows crowd clamoured to get them ported to their system.
That is what needs to happen now instead of trying to get the scraps from the windows crowd to the Amiga.

Just my 2 cents

Look how they started and where they are now :-) So going for ports as start is a good move to make I think :-)
