To be frank, I don't believe a word of MarkTime's word. However. I believed the 2001 august AmigaONE/OS4 release date. I believed the 2001 november release date, and a thousand more release dates.

Now that there is no release date set (damn, were it Hyperion or someone else hinting a 2003 september release date for OS4?) I cannot see why it can't be met. It's not a hardware product, it can be made in spare time, and it requires just that: time and a few coders.

However, I clearly remember what Wayne Hunt received when expressed his opinion about AmigaOS4 won't be released for a couple of months at least - early this year.

Are you aware that when you speak of the poison of the community you speak about broken and unfulfilled promises? You are carrying a heavy burden at Hyperion and I respect you for that - but the same applies for this company which saw countless projects die vanish in thin air...

They became more bitter, many have departed, got fed up...

The situation is hard for everyone - Marktime, this time I think there is no need to increase the tension even more. Frustration gets the worst of us - just look at the thousand craps and "news" from all over the community, regardless of camps or beliefs. Everyone spits out their hatred, frustration - and it just makes more damage.

I dont think hyperion has ever set a release date yet, it is amigainc that has broken release dates time after time...

Never ever seen Hyperion standing up and saying: "It's nonsense". It will be rude, and just an opinion, but I think it was their interest to keep up the enthusiasm and the feeling of immediate release, preventing their potentional customers from going elsewhere. Speculation though, and I beg for being corrected.
