magnetic: However, Genesi may be interested in a MOS native version. So, if the project leader or programmer could get in touch with us it would be great! Hey, they may get something good out of it! ;)

well, according to its source forge project page it'll be released under GPL and it's written in C, so I guess a MOS-native port shouldn't be all too hard. However, I'm wondering wether they'll be distributing binaries?! AFAIR the giFT project asks not to distribute binaries nor even source archives. The only possibility to get official giFT clients atm is via CVS, as they do want people who test giFT to stay uptodate as clients tend to get incompatible to later versions very fast and old clients sometimes trash the net (Afair). The last time I tried the Fasttrack  support was rather poor. It worked, but you weren't able to share any files in FT (Kazaaaa)  :-(  so imho it's no good idea to use it unless they changed this. But I'm mostly wondering what they'll do about the binaries  :-? Distributing it source-only wouldn't make much sense for amiga users as I suppose most of us (or at least a lot of us) don't have compilers on your system (in difference to most Linux users)

uh, sorry, I wasn't "up to date" on this .... They don't seem to have anything against people distributing binaries any more and there even seem to be releases of giFT available , sorry, sorry, mea culpa, mea culpa maxima!!!!  ;-)
