What happened in China?
« on: April 16, 2003, 09:43:52 AM »
This is from Peter Gordon's website. Thanks Peter.

Alan Redhouse's speech at AmiGBG March 29 or 30, 2003
"Now, apparently went down very well, because the next
seminar is in, its two weeks today. Its in Shanghai, and its a closed seminar
for 73 of the top influences in the chinese government. Its on Chinese
premises, its been described to me as their version of Camp David, you know,
can't get in, can't get out without a pass and all that stuff; I've got to be
in bed by 9 o'clock, err, and Shanghai is the biggest... just outside Shanghai
they're building a new technology city. Its the biggest construction project in
the world, its the biggest IT facility in the world, and people who are
advising on what they should do have asked for this seminar to be held, and I'm
speaking there. And i'm going to show them OS3. I would have liked to have
shown them OS4, but [muffled] now. But, they're not sufficiently stupid that
they can't make the deductions between something on that level of processor,
translated onto this. So thats one... I don't want to go into more dettail on
that really, thats just really just to say that, I've been accused of being a
shopkeeper, but I think that, i'm not a not a bad one, so... and I don't make
any claims to be a big technology person, but I do know how to sell stuff, and
you don't sell it by, i'm sorry to you guys, but you need to sell it to the
big guys as well."

"2 weeks today" is April 12 or 13.

I wonder how it went, did he get a million orders??? Maybe it's better we don't know? :-D

So I guess that A500, 600, 1000, 2000, CDTV, CD32, are pure garbage then? Thanks for posting here.
