$ 1498.00 ???? They are out of their minds!!! How many people can really afford that?

I can.

And I'm certainly far better off now than when I paid over US$3000 for my BAREBONESEscom/Quikpak A4000T plus goodies ($500 PicassoIV, $300 DelfinaPlus, etc) to put into it when I was a poor college student. I didn't buy a hard drive or other certain things as I transferred a lot out of my 2000 into the 4000T. For a high-end Amiga, this honestly doesn't sound that bad in comparison to historical high-end Amiga systems. I see it as half price of back then, and that's before thinking about inflation since then.

For people who have purchased new (not used) big-box Amigas in the past, how much did you pay?
