Amiga Forever and GCC
« on: October 17, 2010, 05:25:58 AM »
I have purchased Amiga Forever 2010 Plus and am trying to get LouiSe's development environment to work with it. I open up the Amiga Forever Menu and then click on the applications tab. I then double-click Workbench 3.1 and wait for it to load. I click on the screen so the mouse emulation is captured. I then click on the UAEconfig button on the dock. After then option menu appears I enter C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Shared\hdf\gcc.hdf under df0: and click on insert. After a few seconds a floppy disk icon with the name unreadable appears on the desktop. It looks like i am mounting the gcc hard disk file incorrectly in workbench 3.1, but i am not certain as i am new to the Amiga scene. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

How do I get to the 3.1 configuration launcher in the Amiga Forever Menu? The only thing that I can see that resembles that is the UAEconfig button in the workbench 3.1 dock, and there's no button labeled "hard drive" on there. Is the lha file the "soft copy" the tutorial was talking about or is it something completely different?

Update: I found the WinUAE configuration menu by launching the 3.x workbench environment, waiting for it to load and then pressing F12. I'm going to try adding the hda file to the hard drives section and see what happens.

Update 2: After some fiddling around i managed to get it to work.
