I think that with Karlos being a muslim and all that, his faith forbids the use of alcohol. Or at least does not encourage its use, given that he's an UK resident and all that .

But depressions are not funny, and the means to alleviate them differ from person to person. Some respond very well to medicine; others can manage on their own with an engrossing hobby. Nevertheless, I don't think hiding your current mental state is such a good idea, mate. Perhaps you point out to your superiors that you are really stretching yourself dangerously close to breaking point, and tentatively visit a MD before you truly collapse. You won't do anyone a favour doing that, least of all yourself!
