Vox, maybe you could be more proactive in fixing your issues instead of retailiating. Maybe you could start a bounty or something similiar like the one on the home page for Odyssey Web Browser. I don't think using black mail is going to help you much here.

But some people like the idea of buying into a product that is still in beta or alpha and be a part of its development. There's a trend at the moment with video games called "early access" where people pay full price for a game still in development and the consumers know exactly what they are getting into. So i wouldn't say their business model is screwed - i would say it's good for what it does.

Don't forget that the profit generated would probably have been needed by Trevor to develop the X1000 and other projects he is doing. I like to think of it as a kind of Kickstarter project with people helping the funding of the projects development as it is being developed.

Usually by this point the moderators have to step in and do their thing. I guess this is what happens when the mods abandon us.
