Nah, i think it is just getting confused by having more than one account. Happens to me all the time.

I'm not sure about the exact model number but i think i have those same Sony headphones. They cost me about $50. Not really impressed as i think they overcrank the bass.

Edit: these are the ones i have - MDR XD100

I actually prefer bud earphones to headphones. I'd choose the clarity of treble instead of overwhelming bass anyday.
