I tried Morphos and it is a bit daunting to a new user of the system.  It looks great, but I couldn't work out how to install my ADF disks of various programs.

I think if you're a more expert user, you can do whatever you want, but for new users, I wish there was a guide in getting your Amiga software across for new users of Morphos and a compatibility guide, that would be fantastic to help out new users.

You could try asking over at MorphZone. They weren't taking on new user registrations for a short while, but as far as I know, it's all business as usual there now.

I'm pretty sure there are tools for mounting .adf images as disks. The only issues you are likely to encounter are those that require access to the original amiga hardware (including requiring non-rtg capable displaymodes). If you do have such an application, E-UAE should work. Anything properly system-friendly and rtg/ahi compatible should pretty much just work. Personally, I wish Octamed Soundstudio wasn't one of the sad exceptions to that rule, but I guess you can't have everything.

So remember the following:

1. Don't ever listen to Karlos...

Smerf is far and away the most intelligent poster here and consequently is always worth listening to and not, as a good many would have you believe, a total waste of space...

:P

Talk about a suck up   :knuddel:

Surely even you understood my post was intended as a retort, not a platitude. If not...

Smerf: never listen to Karlos

<< Implication: whatever Karlos says, assume the opposite >>

Karlos: words of praise for smerf, expressed in terms of bad things he supposedly isn't

<< Implication: smerf is all the bad things outlined in the post >>

WTF! Even after reading the punchline i still don't get it.

Somehow, I doubt it, though that could be my inbuilt refusal to accept that anybody capable of reading and posting could be that daft ;)

But surely even you would understand that i was just stirring shit.

Oh, rest assured, I did. I mean, when was the last time you actually posted something that wasn't just stirring?

Pity Meerschaum / mips_proc wasn't still with us. He could show you how to do it properly. As a troll persona, you're basically crap.
