One difference between this and the Red v Blue is that in the latter, both camps held reasonable claims to the heritage. Both were capable of running on suitably equipped classic Amigas and whilst OS4 became the "official" successor to 3.x in the end, MorphOS could easily have have been the one to do so.

On the other hand, the CUSA stuff is a total disconnect. Other than branding, there's absolutely nothing (at least nothing that has been publicly shown) to connect it to the Amiga or earlier Commodore machines.

My socks smell like broccoli.

You must eat a lot of the stuff then. Either that, or it's aromatic components have a tendency to concentrate into certain, erm, fluids in the same way asparagus allegedly does...

Which is why reasonable people should cut C=USA a break and wait to hear them out on what their Commodore Amiga series is all about before flaming them.

I think most people that are critical see this as yet another trip down the garden path. Except it looks even less appealing than any previous time, with no tangible aspect to connect what CUSA appears to be developing with the kit they are named after (at least as far as the Amiga is concerned). Furthermore, CUSA didn't itself any favours with the existing crowd at the start and alienated virtually everybody at some stage or other.

I know everyone wants to know this very minute what is going on, but from my understanding not all decisions have been made yet so what they want is impossible at this point in time.

I shouldn't believe your own hyperbole too much - the reactions I'm getting here seem a lot more negative than "wanting to know what is going on", more specifically, a wish they'd just go away and haunt some other forum instead. It's been that way a for some time. If you take your glasses off and give them a rub, you might just see it too.
