68EC020 also has a 24-bit memory addessing limit, which restricts you to a maxumum of 16MB into which you have to map your hardware, chip ram leaving at best 8MB for fast ram expansion.

I don't think the 68EC030 has this limit, but it is restricted to 40MHz and lacks MMU, IIRC. Not much of a problem, really, unless you want to play with GigaMem and the like.
