Sweet Yeti of the Serenghetti

How large is large, btw?

I have a samba share on my linux box that my amigas use and I've never ran into any issues with large files (100MiB+)

Or is it only for samba shares hosted on the amiga?

I'll have to check the version when I get home.

Sweet :)

To be totally honest, I never got around to checking if I could reproduce that bug.

And today, I did

I just updated my ancient ubuntu 8.04LTS installation and ran into the very issue highlighted at the start of the thread when writing files over the network.

As expected, 1.74 fixed the issue. However, as I'd forgotten about this thread, I just wasted a few hours chasing red herrings.
