I once fried an a1200 mobo with a dodgy PC PSU - the voltage rails were connected the right way but the PSU iself was bad...
Didn't stop me from trying it....DO'h!
So, yes, I have been that stupid and worse ;-) heh, just look at the Medic! thread to see what I mean :lol:
