I was expecting him to sound a bit more "geordie".

When I visit the folks, I do. Since moving away from there, I have had to tone it down to be understood so much that now I sound... well as I did.

It doesn't take much to bring it out though. Getting excited or angry or simply being immersed in the accent at home brings it all out, like.

I should ring my mum for a while and then re-record it :-D

What's wrong with your voice? Nobody hears their own voice as the rest hear it anyway.

@X-Ray

Yes, it was yours.

Ever head the song, often chanted by semi intoxicated spectators at team sporting events whereupon a participant of the sport appears to be unfit relative to his contemperaries, causing them to concede to the opposition? It repeats the phrase "Who ate all the pies?"

That was written about you, that was.

@PMC

I'm afraid you are in for a dissapointing experience. I'm told I sound more like Ringo Starr. Which is somewhat worrying :lol:

There's a second recording of me linked in the thread somewhere, how I sound after speaking with my folks for more than half an hour.

Las time I was in Stockholm, I had to speak English to be able to make myself understood. Scanian is a rather difficult language. :-)

So... are you not Swedish or are non-Swedish speaking Swedes living in Sweden fairly common?

:-?

@X-Ray

As I have a rare condition that makes me unable to see the word "tape" as the penultimate word in a sentence*, excuse me whilst I roll on the floor laughing for a while...

*not true, but it happened this time :lol:
