Reclaiming the Org!
« on: October 26, 2006, 02:17:25 PM »
Hi,

What with the recent reappearence of some old users, the thought occurs that the site's veteran old timers ought to return and restore the essential balance that we enjoyed in the good old days.

Too many strangers, unnacustom to our local ways have arrived since the opening of new road!

To that end, where are Meerschaum, Glaucus, FluffyMcDeath, Bobson, KennyR (controversial ), The_Editor, that_punk_guy (not veteran in the chronological sense perhaps, but certainly missed), Kent, Kees, Coder, Vortexau and many other old favourites?

I know some of these guys are active on aw.net of course, but the days of bickering over platform choices are hopefully long gone.

Then there are the 'still here but have little time'. I'm looking at you, Mr. Quist, Mr. Parsons etc ;-)

Not sure I miss doomy. He was just too much of a ripoff/pirating arsefez.

I think T-Bone frequents whyzzat, but it's a while since I checked.

Where are all these MIA's?

I thought Sneeble Greeber was the aforementioned ladies bike seat sniffing fiend?

Lung Oyster was another expression that had me chortling a good while. After I'd stopped coughing them up, that is.

I seem to have picked up "chankin" from Wilse, used to describe bitterly cold weather.

Oh, and I think it was LordDef who came up with the all time mouthful-of-coffee-spraying "wankerishness" when describing the general antics of Doomy.

Well, if I go off air anytime soon, you can all safely assume the anti terror squads arrested me on suspicion of preparing deadly chemical agents for atmospheric dispersal...

That fiery little beauty was the last portion of one I made just over a week ago and has been sat in the freezer, slowly maturing in cryonic near-stasis. It really was a spicy little beggar! :-D

My gutalytic converter seems to have neutralised it. I don't feel the slightest "sink" in the pit of my stomach today.

Pity about the fact I've gone and picked up a cold from someplace. I'm squarely blaming Nicholas after seeing him on Eid.

The place is too full of statan worshipping moozlems and other unsaved heathens for him to return, I suspect.

I dunno, I found it amusing how he put a religious slant on the way things were going in the Amiga scene.

No really  :-D

He rather overstepped the line on more than one occasion with his personal opinion of people not of the same bent as himself though.

His departure from the site is right there in the land of legend, though. How surreal was that?

That's classic! One of my all time favourites. Still laughing now.

The one that started it all, except originally it had Kenny's face on there after Bobson's scathing assessment of the Scottish sense of injustice at the hands of the english...
