I hope all is well.

Still, I'm sure these guys know how to deal with hurricane weather, they seem to get enough of it.

Hardly, the last hurricane to hit the Louisiana area was over 35 years ago...


Somehow I managed to completely overlook the actual location and immediately thought it was "south" as in Florida etc...

it's considered "south" even if FLorida is more south.

and 80% of New Orleans is under water. just about everybody is homeless. and the death count is possibly in the 1000's.

Indeed. The scale destruction left in the wake of the storm was mind boggling. I mean we see things like this all the time on the news, third world coutries that are regularly hit by floods. A familiar occurence and a familiar location but the two don't seem to belong together.

My thoughts are with the homeless and families of the dead.
