A fried 68882 is not going to hamper oldschool gaming at all.

The only classic amiga 680x0 compatible games that I know of that absolutely need an FPU are Quake1 and 2. Possibly some flight sims will make use of them too, but I couldn't say which.

All the older Doom style games use integer mathematics (ie not needing an FPU) for their 3D engines.

The only things you will miss out on are if you are into using things like 3D rendering programs, many of which do benefit from an FPU.
