Not nice, mate. Hope no important data was lost. I have plenty access to phased out machines with Windows XP licences attached to them if you need one of those. The actual XP media is easily available in the usual places if you have a CD-burner.
No surplus 3.5" HD at this time I'm afraid (these are mostly shredded). I have 2 Compaq N600s gathering dust in my cupboard, should you have use for a Pentium III ~800MHz laptop. I guess it'd far too slow for editing video and shipping to USA might be expensive.
