So they've made a sort of Wine(X) and poured it into a flashROM? The website is very vague and gives zero technical details. (Perhaps there's something in the  patent PDF).

Apex eh. I just got a cheapass Apex DVD player for my father. It's quite cruddy (but hey, it works :-).
