Help: a4k keyboard repair
« on: February 06, 2004, 11:02:41 PM »
Hi....

My a4k keyboard has a broken switch and it's the spacebar...if you hold it down (pressing hard) for a while, eventually you'll get your space, but other than that it doesn't work...

Can I repair this? Either with some sort of alcohol or perhaps by switching it with another, less used, one? I've tried, but it doesn't seem to be meant to be exchanged.

All help appreciated, space is an important key.

Sincerely,

-Kenneth Straarup.

I actually managed to completely disassemble it, switch two switches (resulting in my scroll lock being dodgy now) and assemble it again with the print in the right place, though it took a while :)

So no worries, I'm able to type spaces now and everything's great :)

Sincerely,
