You cold already use cartridges in a normal C64 so the whole thing was pointless. Clearly aimed at master system fans
The Master System was more powerful then the C64 except for the sound that was very crappy and Sega didn't release the FM add-on outside of Japan. The Amiga was what got the attention of Sega fans, it made the SMS look totally primitive and the Genesis didn't come out till '89 in the US.
