I don't know what you are trying to ping, but you're not getting a response from the target. That much is sure =).

What 'ping' does, basically, is say hello to the target and measures the time it takes for the target to say hello back.

Give us a bit more information. How is your network set up? What is the Amiga attached to? How is Easynet configured?
Hi if i knew all the answers  to the questions you just asked me lol i could probally set it up myself, first off ,i did not install easynet myself i paid Amigakit ,so it should be all set up ,if i click on easynet it tells me im on line, the browser im using is Aweb, that too opens up ,but i cant see anywhere that said im on line ,if i do a ping test now it tells me packetts havs gone and packetts have come back with no loss ,and it took 1/5 ms, all the details i had to enter were given to me by o2 ip adress and so on ,my amiga has 4g cf harddrive 32 mb ram with a e-matrix espansion card fitted ,it is a Etherlink lll fitted to the pcmcia slot which is then connected to my o2 router which has a static address,is there more lol

It has been a while since I used Easynet. I bought a PCMCIA card for my A1200 from AmigaKit years ago and it was supplied with that (probably v1.0 as it was so long ago). IIRC, the instructions were quite simple and I had to manually input a few things like IP Address, Net Mask, DNS Server address. I remember scratching my head and wondering how to find out if the numbers I entered were correct or not when a screen popped up saying "New version of your software detected, downloading..." I took that as a good sign. :)

Personally, I use Genesis on my A4000 now.

Assuming you have a Router attached to a cable or DSL modem, plug a PC into it, open a DOS window and type "IPCONFIG /ALL". You'll be able to get an IP address from there (change the last 3 digits though so if the PC is 192.168.0.101 then use something like 192.168.0.109 for your miggy), subnet mask is probably 255.255.255.0 and the DNS server should be listed too (and perhaps an alternative or secondary DNS).
Hi and thankyou, i have to ask why am i changing the last three digits? which i will go and do,as i have input everything that you did,but i never changed the last three digits, i will let you know if it suddenly starts updating, best wishes Brian.
