Emergency Chicagoland Commodore Convention
« on: July 29, 2010, 07:16:30 AM »
Hey guys, this is my first post so I thought I'd make it a good one. :)

Saturday, September 18, 2010
Heron Point Building, next to Fairfield Inn and Suites (Marriott)
665 West North Ave
Lombard, Illinois 60148 USA
1-630-629-1500

Admission there is free. I was there last year and I scored an Amiga 1000 with all the trimmings - Hard Drive, mouse, keyboard and monitor, all for $20. Even got Ben Heck to autograph my 64!

Seriously, guys, if you're in the area you have no reason not to go. I'm 21 and had my MOM drive me last year. All for the nerd points. :)

It's fun, it's free, it's neato. Right, time to lurk around the forums and grab me a drive to fill my DF1 slot.

We have one over here, Concorde F-BVFA, in the Smithsonian  National Air and Space Museum; funny, but it is in the Boeing Aviation Hangar! The  Smithsonian usually keeps planes well maintained, it may be flight worthy now :) Tell me where the pilots hide the keys (under the visor?) and I'll come pick you up. Maybe you can tell me what this says:

Physical Description:
Aircaft Serial Number: 205. Including four (4) engines, bearing respectively the serial number: CBE066, CBE062, CBE086 and CBE085.

In two posts this thread managed to go from a commo-con to a discussion on Concorde jets. God, it's like IRC with really bad lag! :roflmao:

For me, it was just to say that if I had time and money, I'd come watch this Commodore Convention... and I forgot to say: "Great news"...good news, but not for Europeans  :(
