You know, I'd hate to think there's yet another account I need to disable, Hans George Campbell (aka DoomMaster).  Because then more drastic action will need to be taken.

Hint: the reason I knew it was you before wasn't down to the A2000s in your avatars!

As far as I can see, DoomMaster isn't selling games, his selling his service.

Not taking a stand on what DM is or isn't doing, but I'm sure many software pirates would like to claim immunity using that argument, if it were possible :-)

He stated in this farewell notes that he was a former pirate

I don't have any authority or responsibility with regard to ebay.  Furthermore I don't know whether he is doing something illegal on ebay or not, so therefore I don't take a stand on it.

The only thing that concerns me is if he is once again posting on amiga.org when he has been banned, because this time I am far more likely to take drastic action, probably with his ISP.  Only problem there is that he'll probably send me even more abusive and hurtful emails :-)

He still can't sell something he doesn't own, service or not. I can't download a Linux distro, burn it and sell it on the street, for instance. It's still illegal.

Yes you can, but you can only charge for your service of burning the CD, ie. a couple of quid.  That's perfectly legal, but under the GPL only.  This doesn't apply for most software.

I've seen a few hardware/software suppliers sell Linux distros for a couple of quid (including P&P).  That's just an example, not the entire justification for what I've said in this post.

Report the abuse to his isp and they will shut his connection down right away

There are swings and roundabouts with that line of action, and ISPs tend to be reticent about closing down customer accounts.  But I think given the amount of evidence I have now, it's makes the attempt more worthwhile.
