Has www.aminet.net Been Hijacked?

aminet.net works fine for me (on BT Internet).

Hmm, no pop-ups here on aminet.org, maybe it's because of this? :-)

The reason for the 'redirection' might be a timeout in the lookup, then browser does the 'name guessing' job (.com, .net, .org) and ends up at aminet.org?  The bad name resolution then gets cached?
