Sonnet Quaddoubler
« on: September 30, 2003, 02:07:19 AM »
If anyone is still reading this thread, I sent the inoperative quaddoubler back to sonnet.  I got it back last week, put it in, and lo and behold: 68040/55!  Quite fast. Very nice!

I put a Quaddoubler 50/100 B into a 3640/68040/25 board in my A3000 motherboard which is in a Mirage/Mediator tower.  I don't know which chip they used because I can't see it.  It is covered by a nice little blower/cooler.  Sysinfo rates it at 55MHz.  I believe that it would have to be overclocked because the fastest 68040 is 40MHz.

If you can get one from Sonnet, I think that you'll be pleased with the results.
