So, I turned the machine on and oops, I heard the sound of a small spark going in and I turned off everything off immediately... so there, I killed something inthe monitor's RGB logic... composite video works perfect but the rgb doesn't, when I connect the machine to the monitor (or another machine) it just shows lines everywhere..
So, I'm sure nobody has been stupid enough to make such a mig mistake but I was wondering if anybody ever went through something like this... any idea if this is something that can be fixed?

This made me think you might have used a 25 to 9 pins serial cable, since (well, mine at least) a 1084 monitor has, like a pc's com port, a 9 pin input.
