Multiscan/multisync?
« on: August 14, 2006, 05:03:07 PM »
I just bought a second hand Sony multiscan 300 sf, and because of the name "multiscan" I wondered if I could connect a 15khz rgb signal to it. But am I now mixing up multiscan with multisync?

Regards,

Eyso

Well, I see it is able to do RGB, (which is scart; RGBHV is vga)

Scanning Frequency    Horizontal: 30-86 kHz

Alas, no 15 kHz there.... But it's a pretty good monitor if you have a scandoubler or an A3000
Yes I saw that, but since in my first link states that multisync is equal to mutliscan, maybe there's a scandoubler in the monitor itself :-)
Btw. it's not only Amiga I want to plug on it, also a Dreamcast and an Atari Jaguar.

but, hum, I can't blow things up if I'm wrong, can I? :nervous:

How are you even going to plug the Jaguar in, much less get it to output 30kHz?   (Dreamcast will work for supported games with VGA adapter).
With this:

Hm, I guess this one can do the job, yet it's not really cheap :-/
