I got one too, plus a few other computers/consoles :-D
but still, despite the known low battery life, I still recall it as being a bit successfull, not quite as the gameboy, but certainly not a failure either...

the build quality wasn't so good but the games were esp. Shenmue...
The build quality was excellent, I mean, it's very much PS2 quality
And I can say that because I have one (a DC, and a friend of mine has a ps2) :-D
Heck, I think most of the GameCube games can be ported to a DC with a minimum of quality loss

well, got hardly a problem with those controllers, I can play quake 3 with it quite nicely already (I don't give a damn about the thingy being plastic or not, it seems to me solid enough).
So I think that's a matter of opinion.
But considering the fitting the vmu, I just got one, so, good you tell me this now :-/
(though I'm very carefull with it, unlike other ppl I see often)

After playing a couple of hours quake 3 with the dc controller I got indeed a bit of cramp in my hands.
Considering the vmu? Well, there's always cello/duct tape! :-D

considering the multimedia abilities of the GP32 I'm quite sceptical.
Unless an usb stick can be used on the usb port (or an external cd-r/dvd combo),
'cuz these smart media cards seem not to be that common nowadays and 128 mb seems to be the maximum
also a pity there's no touch screen, if there was, you really could replace yer palmtop with it

maybe time for a gp128? :-)
