well, I always say we're all born nude, through the vagina, and we all sucked on mom's tits (or the nurturer's), so family values shouldn't be offended with such pictures methinks :-)

[maybe we should rather talk about office-values]

Sex, and those events you mentioned are personal, sacred, and have no place here.

That's YOUR opinion.
I can also say that I take offense to all right-wing statements. (also, ppl vote 'secretly')

Say that after you've been fired for 'looking at pornography' while browsing Amiga.org.

What you must also realise is, like offices, most families do not whittle away the hours sitting around each other with their erogenous zones on display.
But there's also a very ridiculous "invention" like a swimming suit or prudish things alike.

Well, as if everyone has to be physically handsome! But I don't care whether they're dressed or not.

But is for instance a sculpture or painting from Michelangelo offending? And why wouldn't guns (as I've seen those in avatars) be offending?

Does anyone find a scuplure by Michelangelo offensive?
I really don't know.

Do you find pictures of guns offensive?
Yes, I think guns are as offensive as swastika's and alike. Because it has a history of caused grief and a future of causing grief, as it is the sole purpose of those.
Plus, I ain't using a sword as my avatar (I like swords for  some utterly childish reason) either for the same reasons.

why are you defending immature uses of avatars?

If one wants to be that way, I think I'd be a hypocrite to condemn such a person, because I sometimes also want to state things with my avatar.

What, like "I like penises"?  Is that the sort of intelligent and insightful statement you want to make to other Amiga.org members at any point soon?

well, if I would have an avatar for some reason with that Michelangelo painting about the creation of Adam and the touch of god, or the Da Vinci painting with a man stretching his arms in a circle and a square, or to keep it short, a painting that has a certain expression but contains nudity because it was the habit of painters back then, and you want the particular expression to be your statement, but you can't because the painting causes offence to some who wash themselves once a year.

Nobody asked you to condone or condemn anything either, you're kind of advocating that people should have immature avatars to scream to the world that their sexual drive is working and they're proud of it and yet your shrugging your shoulders at the same time.
I saw those avatars and I thought: so what, why should I care?
