Usually it's those little green fuses. I fixed a ton of those over the years.

Yeah, I should have gone there first too.

So like Mike says, start with the mouse itself.
Check the fuses.
Then swap the CIAs and see if it changes the symptoms.

It's very rarely worse than that.
