Hmmmm funny thing is this machine is probably actually closer to release than the A1000x, because as unbelievable as it seems Karma (who produce these cases for the pictured C=USA A1000,2000 etc proposed Amiga models) have no record of any such contact from anyone at C=USA. Not that it matters, their A1000 page is mostly broken and a cut n paste job of the text from the Karma website.....no surprise there then eh? :roflmao:

Interestingly I was told that 'someone' has discussed time scales and costs of their cases produced in bespoke white or silver  or how to do this via 3rd paties and a deal is not far off potentially should they wish.

So .....

1. now which is the company which is hosting a page of bullshit and which company prolly has a working prototype they may finish?

2. would anyone here buy one anyway? not your thing is it if not PPC/FPGA based?

3. oh and also tell C=USA black<>A1000 colour but they think VIC=black ;)

How do I know all this? I've worked with Karma on unrelated projects not long ago on behalf of some clients and so telephoned them before leaving work.....their number is not available on their contact page by the way :)

But it is now a news item.. why??

Because if C64x is news and future fake Comodore USA stuff will be news then so is this. All are equal, if this goes all C=USA stuff goes too then. Simple :)

So the post and site listed are bogus should this post be deleted?

Well with all these things the x86 motherboard is zero development and the case company in question have confirmed that negotiations have taken place regarding a white case. Karma also have zero involvement with C=USA.

CPU is also still to be launched on a large scale.

I'm sure a little faith goes a long way, take it for what they describe it as ie a nice homage to run UAE on as well as something as cutting edge as Battlefield 3.

@hattig

Looking at every other C=USA "PC in disguise" product being pimped I think it's important only 1 is anything other than a rebadged PC in the wrong colour(VIC20 was not black). I think this is what real enthusiasts don't like.....PC +Linux <> C64 or Amiga which you have to respect.

Any more Commodore or Amiga companies and we wont be able to move without falling over  an "Amiga".
If we get any more mainstream I'll have to abandon this platform and find a new one.
I can't cope with all this exposure, I don't want to be dragged into the limelight.

Didn't Tandy make computers, anyone know if they have a retro scene?

Ooh yes it would be harder to find old 386 machines to play old EGA DOS games properly I bet :roflmao:
