Opera Widget for AmiWest
« on: October 17, 2009, 08:21:05 PM »
Put together an Opera widget for Amiwest.  It's both webcams and the audio stream from http://linux.tc3net.com/~tekmage/ugn/

Webcams updates every 15 seconds.

amiwest.wgt

You should be able to click the link above and it will add itself. It will give a warning that it's not from widgets.opera.com , but I don't think I'll put it up there since it's only useful for a short period.

Back in my day, we didn\'t have water. We only had Oxygen and Hydrogen, and we\'d just have to shove them together.

It would be nice if it wasn't taking up all the processor time and basically locks opera. And makes the rest of the machine sloooooooooow.

That sucks.

My guess would be it's flash related, either something wrong with flash or the flash player is just to CPU hungry.  The flash based audio player is the freely available http://flash-mp3-player.net/

On my system it goes from about 4% to 8%.  But it's an AMD x2 running 2.5ghz.

I know flash is not always efficient, but seems strange it would take up all the CPU time just to decode audio.
