I always tried 192.168.1.3 for the Amiga , 192.168.1.2 for the PC considering that the router should be 192.168.1.1.
Only thought I have is to try something like 192.168.1.100 for PC and 192.168.1.101 for Amiga.
All the routers that I have had, the IP router tables starts IPs off at the 100 range (i.e. 192.168.1.100)
I don't know that it should matter, but it is something to try if you haven't. I suppose of the PC is working it might not matter, but you never know... :-)
EDIT: Did you also log into the router itself and turn off DHCP in the router?
