Personally I was expecting the HTML5 engine of Odyssey to have been released for OS4 by now, but it seems to have but on hold for some reason or another.

Please, there are no *obligations* from the Odyssey developer towards OS4. All is fine on MorphOS, it beats IE9 anyday, both in HTML5 and CSS3, in an "Ibrowse Way"...! As far as I understand things, there are some major limitations in OS4 holding back some of the portings...
MorphOS is Amiga done right! :)

Close enough, but just with your own special way of putting it. ;)

Regarding my signature:

It's obviously meaning (or at least it's meant to mean): "MorphOS is what Amiga was about and should have been in the next generation" (and *not* that MorphOS = "Amiga(TM)", rather the opposite; leaving the "Amiga(TM)" behind and moving forward...)
MorphOS is Amiga done right! :)

seems from this announcement OS 4.1.5 will be free bugfix release for all that just starts the X1000 basic support (like 4.1 did with SAM440, 4.1.1/4.1.2 with SAM 460 and Peg2 etc.) and after that will be no more frequent updates (unless some nasty bugs discovered in 4.1.5)

Well, in that case, let's hope that OS4.1.5 at least really is *BUG FREE* then, since this seems to be the last one before having to chip up the full fee all over again for the new kind of updates with different version numbers that presumably will follow...

4.2.0 will be a payable release, but again would span a new wave of updates.
Just as it was with 4.0 (several developer releases and updates), was with 4.1 (5 updates), and will continue with 4.2
Luckily, 4.1 expanded support for few new boards (SAM 440/460, Peg2, X1000, better support for Classics) and hope 4.2 will do similar (I would hope on PPC Macs even its less likely)

OS4.0.x did cost the full money
OS4.1.x did cost the full money
OS4.2.x will cost the full money

Is that right?
